Welcome springtime – inspiration from within

March 15th, 2010

Spring is a time of awakening, rebirth, and emergence. What is your plan for igniting and refreshing a part of yourself, or connecting with a previously untapped part of yourself, and offering it to the world? How do you inspire and empower yourself? What if you acknowledged some of that incredible inspirational power of yours and directed it to your own self, your own heart. What would that look like? How would it be for you? What would that mean for humanity and the planet? Well, why stop there? The Universe?

I recently read something that referred to “remembering the future”. In other words, if “the future is now,” you can see it, experience and create it from this moment. We already know the future if we can envision it. I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone, take a risk, and allow your talents to burst forth this season.

Gratitude

December 18th, 2009

Once when visiting with my brother and his two kids I learned something new about their family: they cultivate an “attitude of gratitude”. Sometimes dad reminds the kids, sometimes one of the kids reminds dad, or one another. At the time, I didn’t have a formal gratitude practice, but I experienced a heartfelt wish that my family’s tradition continue to flourish.

Since then, I’ve developed a practice of gratitude as my feet touch the ground each morning. At that tender time as I crossover from sleep there is a genuine sweetness that I experience in my heart. From that place anything is possible.

As you take the next step, and the next step in your personal and professional relationships, I encourage you to bring your presence to an “attitude of gratitude.” Gratitude moves energy, creates openness, and provides support. When you are in a state of heartfelt gratitude, possibility expands.

This month has held a multitude of changes for me, and to each person who has offered love and support, I want you to know I am truly grateful. I appreciate the gestures of comfort, kindness, genuine concern and gentle understanding. And most of all I appreciate the love that shines behind each moment of connection with you. As one of my favorite café’s asks, “What are you grateful for?”

Freedom

November 12th, 2009

Reflecting on the True Purpose work that Jeffrey VanDyke presented to the East Bay Chapter of the International Coaching Federation this past month I came to a new insight. Simply stated, he presented the three areas that compose our true purpose: Essence, Blessing and Mission.

What I realized was that part of what I bring to those three areas – the glue that holds them together is my commitment to freedom. Freedom to be and do whatever it is we are meant to on the planet. Truly, it’s taken just a little bit of coaching (Joking!) and other personal transformational work to come to a place where creating an incredible personal and professional life is POWER, PASSION, LEADER AND PLAY!
